PROJECT MISSION

Cybernet developed a field-hardened, dual processor unmanned ground vehicle controller which runs a full-fledged Unix operating system and includes multiple flat-panel screens with an integrated touch screen and a 3-degree-of-freedom force reflecting joystick. The device was integrated with a military vehicle using commercial wireless modems/packet radios to demonstrate teleoperation of the vehicle. This system was designed to be expandable to include dual processors, touch panel, emerging video compression/ decompression hardware and software as well as other evolving needs.

PROJECT STATUS

Completed for Army MICOM for ARPA.
