This project demonstrated that the same physics-based algorithms used for discriminating human gestures and behaviors are applicable to tracking and identifying incoming ballistic missiles. We leveraged our work in dynamic gesture recognition to create a Target Interception using Gesture Recognition (TIGER) system that identifies, tracks, and predicts the course of incoming missiles and associated decoys. The TIGER system also discriminates between incoming missiles and decoys.
