Cybernet is developing and automating a clean burning diesel side-loading fork lift to improve the current ammunition handling process. Specifically, automating a new fleet of forklifts to replace, over time, those that are currently used to retrieve material from earth covered magazine storage facilities will provide the required capabilities. By leveraging previous work accomplished under Army efforts, other autonomous vehicle efforts, and Cybernet’s own developments, the goal is to develop, field, deploy, and maintain an automated forklift as part of a larger automated material handling equipment solution.
