Cybernet is working in coordination with ARDEC and CASCOM to develop both autonomous and assistive technologies to improve the efficiency and safety of operations for the 5K Light Capability Rough Terrain Forklift (LCRTF) and the Rough Terrain Container Handler (RTCH). The automation being developed is designed to be kit-based which enables it to be more easily applied to additional platforms in the future. The resulting system will support autonomous operations in rough terrain environments such as ammunition supply points, theater storage areas, ammunition holding areas, etc. The assistive technologies will include tools to improve visibility around the platforms, alignment aids to expedite material handling actions, and other features to improve safety and efficiency of operation.
